These terms and conditions apply to customers located in the UK

These are the terms and conditions of Mava Trade LTD, which is the company that sells Spices and Related products to Customers on the Website. If you access the Website, and/or place an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

How to order

  • Select the goods you require from the Website and click 'Add to bag'
  • Review your bag and make sure all specifications such as size (see our sizing chart) and colour fit your requirements, then click "Secure Checkout"
  • You will then proceed to the secure payment page where you may select the payment type and complete your order. Your payment will be collected from you by House of Fraser Limited. Following submission of your order you will be sent an automated order acknowledgement to the email address provided.
  • You will receive an email or a text message confirming that Mava Trade has accepted your order when your order has been processed and is ready for delivery by Mava Trade.

Method of payment

Fraud Prevention

To help us prevent fraud, orders of £100 GB pounds or more may require a landline telephone number. Card fraud is illegal, and perpetrators will be prosecuted.

UK Delivery

Delivery costs are additional to the displayed price and vary depending on the delivery service you select, the country of delivery and the quantity/weight of goods ordered. UK delivery charges will be confirmed to you, before your order is accepted.

Can I cancel any item that I order?

You can cancel any item ordered online in before being dispatched.

How do I notify you that I want to cancel my order?

You can cancel by sending an email to or by post to: hello@mava-saffron.com
You need to give us a clear statement that you would like to cancel which includes your name, address, details of the order you wish to cancel and some contact information such as a telephone number or email address.

How do I send my items back?

You must return your items by post to the below address no later than 14 days after the day on which you informed Mava Trade LTD that you would like to cancel your order;

Events outside our control

Mava Trade LTD will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of any of its obligations to you that is caused by events outside Mava Trade LT's reasonable control (a "Force Majeure Event"). A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond Mava Trade LT's reasonable control and includes (without limitation) the following: (a) Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action;
(b) Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war;
(c) Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster;
(d) Impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport;
(e) Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks; or
(f) The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.

Shipping and postage

Shipping Saffron to your door for free. Mava Trade LTD  always ships the business day following the receipt of an order.  We are using Royal Mail 1st Class and Royal Mail 2nd Class services for our shipments.

Royal Mail 2nd Class

  • Normally arrives in 2-3 business days.
  • Shipments to United Kingdom : £0.88 per item which is already included in the final price.
  • Royal Mail 1st Class (only applies to ordes of £20 or above)
  • Normally arrives in 1-2 business days.
  • Shipments to United Kingdom : £1.15 per item which is already included in the final price.

  • Q: How do you ensure shipments will arrive intact?
    • A: All items are shipped in a bubble padded envelope, to ensure safe delivery. Packages are collected by royal mail and monitored by royal tracking system.
  • Q: What is the quality of this Saffron?
    • A: Super A Quality Saffron, Finest Pure Premium All Red Saffron Threads, Highest Grade
  • Q: Where should I keep Saffron?
    • A:  Saffron must be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for maximum flavor.
  • Q: Is there an expiry date for saffron?
    • A:  Saffron is best used as soon as possible for optimal flavor and potency. As long as you take good care of the spice, it will last many months or even years.
  • Q: How do you soak saffron?
    • A: There are multiple ways to prepare and use your saffron spice, through heat or ice. To draw out the colour, steep your saffron thread in warm water, stock, milk or white wine for 30 minutes before use.
